Planning a trip to the Philippines and wondering where to stay on Boracay!? Well, look no further, because I’ve put together the ultimate list of the best Boracay hotels, beach resorts, and accommodation options for all types of budgets!
Boracay is hailed as one of the most famous white beach islands in the Philippines because of its tranquil, calm, shallow waters and unbelievably iconic sunsets. Moreover, the white powdery sand and a long vast seashore made Boracay as one of the longest white beaches in Asia!
Boracay Island has been the go-to beach for both local and foreign travelers in the Philippines for a long time. The island is like a city of its own, and as everything from stunning beaches, world-class restaurants, a mall, luxury resorts, and budget hotels, and is particularly known for its vibrant nightlife! I’ve included it on my list of the best places to party in South-East Asia, as well as a must-visit on my Philippines Itinerary which has helped tens of thousands of people plan their trip to this amazing country!
Boracay should definitely be on everyone’s bucket list, as the island embodies the perfect getaway for anyone who wants a proper beach therapy. The water in Boracay is crystal clear, the beaches are perfect for a relaxing swim as the water is mostly flat/ has no strong current, the fine sandy seafloor tackles your feet, becomes deep gradually and a year-round breathtaking sunset.
What is the best area to stay in Boracay?
The main strip of the island is divided into 3 parts. Stations 1, Station 2, and Station 3.
Each station has its own pace and flow when it comes to establishments, crowd and nightlife happenings.
- Station 1L It is said that Station 1 has the most powdery and finest stretch of white sand on the entire island. This station houses most of the luxury resorts and is definitely less loud compared to Station 2.
- Station 2: Basically the busiest part of Boracay. It is a convenient, busy area where you can find ‘D’mall’, a full stretch of boutique shops, dive stores, pharmacies, ATMs, fast food chains and restaurants.
- Station 3: Definitely a less crowded area compared to Stations 1 and 2. It also has a good number of luxury hotels but you can also find cheaper resorts on this side of the land as well.
Other areas in Boracay Island are very much keeping up in tourist development but still not spoilt and way serene and peaceful compared to the famous ones. Diniwid Beach, Mt. Luho, Yapak, and Balabag are some of the beach communities and coastal locations that are still in Boracay and these areas have so much to offer!

Breakfast (served at the beach level restaurant) is good with a wide array of options. The Duck Tapa Salad was excellent (from lobby restaurant). There’s a fitness center (2 treadmills, 1 bike, 1 elliptical, free weights up to 20 kilos, and 1 multipurpose machine) with enough for most folks.”

Guest Review: 5/5 So I have been staying in discovery since 2009 and this is my first time to review. I have stayed or seen all the rooms in the resort. I prefer to stay in the older rooms near the breakfast buffet and beach. They added a rooftop bar and pool in the new tower and updated the room since my first stay. What hasn’t changed are the people. They are simply the best hotel staff in the world. As soon as you walk in you are family. Attention to details and service unmatched in all the travels that I do. The food is great as well. A new Italian restaurant that has great fresh pasta and pizza. Really truly the best hotel experience. Discovery Shores is my ideal vacation.

Food was good, the room was outstanding, location was just as we’d hoped… right on the beach with endless sites to enjoy. If you’re headed to Boracay do not overlook the Villa Caemilla. Our group accommodated 2 rooms, the executive twin which is located at the first flr and the twin double which is located at the 2nd flr. The hotel is soo clean and the complimentary daily breakfast is really good. We also tried their menu during our first night at the hotel and the food is really good. We also received a complimentary specialty ice tea from the hotel upon our arrival. Budget wise, spending your money in this 3-star hotel is worth it, not so expensive for a 3-star hotel. A good place to stay alone or with your friends. It’s fun but not over the top ridiculous. A lot of life surfers are here.
