“Aruba. Jamaica. Ohh I wanna take you to Bermuda, Bahama…come on pretty mama”
The Caribbean Sea is one of those areas in the world that keeps its visitors coming back for more and more. When you look at the map of all the amazing countries and islands in this beautiful area of water, you can completely understand why. I myself have only visited this area once, but am always looking for my next big trips, and this is why I decided to write this post about my top 5 caribbean bucket list!

1 ) Jamaica
“Don’t Worry. About a Thing. Because Every Little Thing. Is Gonna be Alright”
Maybe it’s my love for Jerk Chicken and the sweet sounds of Bob Marley’s music, but Jamaica definitely is the top of the list. No Jamaican holiday would be complete without exploring it’s beautiful beaches, rich landscape, and vibrant culture. I’ve had so many friends visit in the past few years, and everyone has said it’s completely amazing.
One of the best times to visit this island is during carnival time as you can get the whole taste of Jamaica.

2 ) Aruba
Alright, so I have to be honest — I’ve actually been here once before with my family when I was a young kid. So I technically have “crossed this off the bucket list” already, but that’s also the main reason I want to go back. When you travel as a kid on a family vacation, I feel like you miss out on the culture of destinations. I was really young, and I remember the beautiful blue water and beaches, but I want to go back and actually experience what Aruba is all about now. I’d like to try new foods, meet some locals, and maybe even practice my Dutch. Did you know they speak Dutch in Aruba!?
3 ) Cuba
Growing up in America, it always seemed like it would be impossible to visit Cuba. I remember hearing little things like how Cuban cigars were illegal, and just assumed that it wasn’t a feasible travel destination.
Fortunately, this is no longer an issue, and Americans have been granted travel access to Cuba. From what I’ve heard, it’s an absolutely beautiful country, and Cubans are some of the nicest people in the world.
4 ) Grand Cayman Islands
Fun fact: my sister lived in the Grand Cayman Islands for three years after she finished university, and I still never made it out there to visit her! Can you believe that…? Her pictures and stories of living in paradise are truly inspiring, and she still says it is one of the most gorgeous destinations she has ever been. My sister is a very well-traveled individual, so I’m very much looking forward to taking her advice and visiting these beautiful islands for myself someday.
5 ) Puerto Rico
My urge to visit Puerto Rico all stems from my obsession with Instagram. In the past year or so, I’ve been seeing a ton of fellow travel bloggers and photographers visit this beautiful island, and have heard it’s absolutely mind-changing. It will become one of those places that you will find yourself coming back to again and again. Crystal clear water, blue skies, delicious food, and friendly people. Sounds pretty good, yeah?
