A biannual multi-day series, the Al-Balad Music Festival is rich with history, culture, tradition, and the arts. The Al-Balad Music Festival is hosted in two historically-prevalent locations, the Odeon Amphitheater, and the Roman Theatre.
The Odeon Amphitheater dates back to 2 AD, built in the same century as the Roman Amphitheater located next to it. The Roman Theatre at the Odeon Amphitheater side is a famous historical landmark that was an iconic structure during the reign of Roman emperor Antoninus Pius.
Today, people travel from all across the globe to celebrate history, culture, and music in these two historical structures during the Al-Balad Music Festival.
