3) Big Bear Glamping Tent — Laurel Oaks Estate, South Carolina
Location: Ridgeland, South Carolina
Price: $83+ USD per night
https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/49275265
“The Best Family-Friendly South Carolina Glamping Site”
The big brother of the Little Bear Tent offers just a bit more than his baby brother. Everything that goes for the Little Bear Tent counts here, but the difference is the extra amenities and the bigger tent.
Firstly, they have a bean bag big enough to sleep a child, a lot more kitchen utensils and a more extensive food storage area. Since the two tents are a few minutes away from one another, booking both would make for a great family getaway. Since there are cities close by, renters can roam neighboring cities and attractions freely. But they can also take out their paddle boats and enjoy some fishing at the closeby Waccamaw River.

“South Carolina’s Best Treehouse Glamping Site”
Treat yourself and your significant other to this breathtaking luxury treehouse. With over 40 acres of forest, it will help put your mind at ease as you enjoy the break from the busy city life. Even though it’s a much better place for a romantic getaway, the treehouse can lodge up to eight people.
The owners pride themselves on their eco-friendly property, and the treehouse reviews compare it to a time machine, where guests feel like kids again. The property does get rented out regularly, but the owners release available dates every month on the 15th. Be sure to keep an eye on Bolt Farm Treehouse’s website for releases.

Guest Review: “We booked the treehouse for our planned elopement. It was the most intimate, magical, romantic experience and everything we hoped for and more. The intention to create a beautiful space to disconnect (and reconnect!), the details in every nook & cranny, and I can’t stop thinking about the most amazing view we woke up to every single morning. We can’t express how special this place is. Seth & Tori did a phenomenal job and we count ourselves lucky to have this memory we can cherish for the rest of our lives!”

6) Luxury Treehouse in the heart of Columbia
Location: West Columbia, South Carolina
Price: $250+ USD per night
https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/32722305
“The Best Secluded & Romantic Glamping Site”
Another amazing isolated treehouse that is as beautiful as the last one. Spend a weekend in this mid-century, modern treehouse, and all your troubles will slowly leave your body. Over the bridge, you’ll find yourself in awe as the creek flows below you. Spending time relaxing on the deck or rejuvenating your body in the bubbling hot tub is a welcomed treat.
The indoor fireplace makes for a cozy setting during winter, and the air conditioning makes the summer heat a lot more bearable. You have all you need in the treehouse with a fully stocked kitchen. The owners even leave a few pods and creamer for the coffee machine.

Guest Review: “We had a wonderful stay at Jamine’s luxury treehouse. The space is beautiful and well equipped for its tiny space. There were thoughtful touches and we really appreciated the fresh eggs, wine and hot cocoa kit. Jamine was very welcoming and even offered us turkey and dressing on Christmas Day. The bed was comfy and the hot tub was my favorite part! I will say, although I knew the treehouse was located on the hostesses property, I did not realize it was located directly next door to the house. My husband felt it should be classified more as a guest house rather than a standalone property. It was still pretty private and overall a lovely stay. Close to great food and drinks.”
7) Chattooga Group Yurt Glamping
Location: Chattooga, South Carolina / Georgia
Price: $79 – $129+ USD per night
“The Best Unique South Carolina Glamping Site”
Located in the woods, close to the academy lake, and a few steps away from Wildwater Chattooga Adventure Center are South Carolina yurts. Part of the Wild Water Rafting array of accommodation, these yurts look amazing inside and out. Another unorthodox one, but yurt camping is an experience in itself. There is a choice of four different sizes, all with bunk beds.

While it’s not a 5-star accommodation, it’s still worth visiting this yurt in South Carolina. If a yurt’s not your style, why not look at their duplex cottages, or view the best Airbnbs in South Carolina. Out of all the yurts in S.C., Chattooga offers the best in the entire state.
8) The Bella Luna Romantic Mountain Treehouse Glamping
Location: Mountain Rest, South Carolina
Price: $262+ USD per night
https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/23730161
Located just above Walhalla, this luxury treehouse is just minutes away from a few adrenaline-inducing activities. The treehouse is the perfect couples getaway and is couples only, so sorry, no kids allowed. It is just a few minutes away from a mountain bike park, waterfalls, and white water rafting. The treehouse is very secluded and gives renters a chance to relax in nature with trees surrounding the beautiful site.
This comfortable treehouse has an amazing patio, perfect for a glass of wine while you admire the sunset through the trees. And with an electric grill on the lower deck, you can enjoy a barbeque underneath the stars.

Guest Review: “I do not normally give full 5 star ratings for places, but I’ve made an exception for Dee’s place in the woods. Fantastic host whom quickly and effectively communicated with us throughout. Every need you can think of has been taken care of. I proposed to my girlfriend just an hour prior to arriving at the treehouse and it made for an amazing two night stay to celebrate!”
9) Behind the Pines Glamping 150 acres with pond
Location: Pauline, South Carolina
Price: $245+ USD per night
https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/38823010
A barn-turned living space is the best way to escape the fast-paced city life, and Behind The Pines offers precisely that. Enjoy the slow-paced life with over 150 acres of nothing but grass, trees, and a little barn in the background. Nestled in West Springs, the glamping barn does offer modern amenities, but when they say unplugged, they mean unplugged. Cellular service can be spotty, and there is no WiFi, but that’s what escaping is all about.
The barn offers everything you need, like a working kitchen, air conditioning, a fire pit, and refrigeration. So take a chance on this barn and recharge your batteries at this amazing glamping barn. But if you ever miss a bit of civilization, Spartanburg is 25 minutes away, and Union is 15 minutes away for supplies.

Guest Review: “Our stay was beyond what we could’ve expected! We finally found a great place to let free and relax! The place is beyond beautiful! She sets up everything SO beautifully and has the cutest touches! Book it! This is your sign! But really it’s so beautiful and even better in person!”
10) Glamping on an off-grid farm
Location: Conway, South Carolina
Price: $95+ USD per night
https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/21690286
The most unorthodox glamping experience on the list is so different that it can be great fun. S.C. glamping doesn’t get any better than off-grid living, and that’s what’s on offer here. The farm has ZERO light pollution, meaning you can easily spot the sparkling stars under the winking night sky.
The farm is great family fun, and you can play with the goats during your stay. The farm always provides breakfast, so renters can pick their eggs and use the fresh produce from the gardens. Keep in mind that the farm is off the grid and has limited electricity and no air conditioning.

Guest Review: “One of my favorite Airbnbs yet! Has everything you need other than food and a lantern/headlamp for night. Really peaceful, beautiful land and well-decorated, cozy, clean, comfy cabin! Ended up staying an extra night because it was exactly what I needed to get some time by myself. Highly recommend and I will be back if I’m in the area!”
11) River Island Adventures Glamping Tents
Location: Myrtle Beach, Georgia
Price: $125+ USD per night
This amazing outpost glamping tent is close to Myrtle Beach and can sleep two. The site is a sleep-and-go kind of tent, especially since there is so much to do at River Island Adventures. The tents have your basic needs, but other amenities such as hammocks, slacklines, and giant yard games are available around the camp. River Island offers great tours and activities, such as the 10 Survivor-style challenges of their Escape River Island.

The tent rental price does tend to change and is a bit cheaper during the week than on weekends. But if you’re an adrenaline junkie and are looking for a bit of an adventure near you, then this is the perfect place for you.
