When you consider Airbnbs in South Carolina for your next holiday, you open up your vacation to many possibilities. SC offers the best of many worlds. Whether your preferences swing to beaches, historical towns, and monuments, or just a feel for southern life, SC has it.
For example, Myrtle Beach is one of the most popular attractions in the state, if not on the entire southeast coast. Also here is the SkyWheel, stretching out over the boardwalk for a wonderful view of the beach.
The Grand Strand also has its claim to fame – it’s 60 miles long! And there’s a somewhat disputed claim that SC is the original home of the BBQ, thanks to the native American peoples’ habits in that area.
Being in the south, SC’s plantation legacy is now experienced as an endless offering of walks and visits. As an aside, it’s South Carolina, not the state of Georgia, that produces the most peaches in the US.
Then there’s the Carolina Opry. While its more famous namesake in Nashville tends to hog the stage lights, this Opry has its own proud reputation as a musical venue. And with that said, let’s look at some of the outstanding Airbnbs that South Carolina has to offer the prospective holidaymaker.

Owner did not miss a single detail with this cool renovation (hello amazing oven) . Large bedrooms and cozy linens that were better than sleeping at home. Morgan was funny and friendly with suggestions for dinner, brunch. Met other friendly visitors on the front porch. We appreciated the cold water in the fridge upon our arrival. We have a special place for walls of windows – there’s a lot to be said for letting the light in. This bungalow’s main appeal is the sheer number of options for where you can simply relax in the light. Living spaces, tables, sofas… even the lofted third bedroom feels like a place to spend time engaged in a book.
