Having lived and traveled all over Australia, I can confidently say that the festival is bloody fantastic down under! I’ve attended over a dozen different music festivals in Australia, but I’d say that none of them are as bucket-list worthy than RAINBOW SERPENT.
This transformational bush-doof is guaranteed to be one of the most colorful, vibrant, and fun-filled weekends of your life. I’ve seen some pretty wild GoPro footage from this event, and I can’t wait to experience it for myself next year!

BARBADOS
Having just successfully finished it’s inaugural festival, Vujaday proved that it’s here to stay for the long-haul. Barbados is a destination that many dream to visit, and I couldn’t think of a better time to plan a vacation than during this incredible music festival in paradise. Spend your days exploring the gorgeous island, and spend all night listening to world-class DJ’s and meeting people from all over the world.
It’s by far one of the best music festivals in the Caribbean, and I’m personally looking forward to attend in the future.

4 ) Tomorrowland
Boom, Belgium
“Yesterday is History. Today is a Gift. Tomorrow is Mystery”
Tomorrowland is arguably the most popular and legendary festival in all of Europe, and is known for producing massively beautiful stages, bringing in the best DJ’s spanning every electronic music genre, and boasting an insanely international crowd!
I’ve personally attended Tomorrowland – and it certainly lives up to the hype! While walking around this festival, I was consistently blown away by the numerous stages, colorful decor everywhere, and vibrant atmosphere.

5 ) Lollapalooza Brasil
São Paulo, BRASIL
What started as one of the most popular music festivals in America, Lollapalooza has expanded to several locations around the world – and attending the Brazil edition would be an experience to remember!

6 ) Meadow in the Mountains

7 ) Shambhala
Salmo River Ranch, CANADA
There are dozens of epic music festivals in Canada, but I really don’t think any of them can compare to the legendary Shambahala. This bass-heavy festival has been running for over 20 years, and is guaranteed to be one hell of a party.

8 ) Festival Estéreo Picnic
Bogota, COLOMBIA
This is the biggest, wildest, and best festival you’ll find in Colombia. They’ve always got a massively impressive line-up, killer atmosphere, and outstanding production. VAMOS!

10 ) SONUS Festival
Pag Island, CROATIA
In the past decade, Croatia has become quite the European hotspot for some of the most wild and crazy parties in the world!
Festivals like Hideout, Outlook, Ultra Europe, and Dimension are all incredible – but I’ve got it give it up to SONUS for being a must-experience in the country! It’s one of the best techno festivals I’ve attended in my life, and PAG ISLAND is absolutely gorgeous.
Sonus always delivers a completely stacked line-up, wicked boat parties, and after-hours that go into the wee hours of the morning.

11 ) Colours of Ostrava
Ostrava, CZECH REPUBLIC
Beautifully unique festival location, incredibly diverse music line-up, affordably delicious local beer, and an amazingly international vibrant crowd. This is the Czech Republic’s largest music festival, and must be added to your bucket list!

12 ) Roskilde
Roskilde, DENMARK
This legendary Danish event is the largest festival in Northern Europe, and has brought in approximately € 43 million to charitable causes. It’s a party with a purpose, and certainly an experience you’ll never forget!

Glastonbury, ENGLAND
Glastonbury needs to be on everyone’s bucket list, as (from what I’ve heard) it’s one of the best festivals in the world! Every year they announce the line-up, and my mind is consistently blown with the amount of talent they bring to this small town in England. It’s damn hard to get tickets to this one, so consider yourself lucky if you get there!

World-class music in a historic citadel! Sounds pretty great, right?
This annual three day party is held inside the Vauban Citadel in the southwest of Arras, France. It boasts a large and diverse line-up covering almost every genre, and will certainly be a highlight of your summer travels in Europe.

18 ) EMPIRE Music Festival
El Jocotillo, GUATEMALA
For the past 5 years, EMPIRE has risen to become Guatemala’s Premier EDM Festival, and is one of the best festivals in Central America!
This two-day massive rave is complete with an amazing line-up, camping, and top-notch production. Guatemala is absolutely beautiful, and there’s no better time to plan a trip then to experience the amazing Empire Music Festival!

HONG KONG

While there are some really quality music festivals in Bali, Indonesia – none of them can compare to the massive size, line-up, and madness that occurs at the legendary Djakarta Warehouse Project. It’s one of the most epic EDM events in Asia for sure!

While they took a small break in 2017, I know Lake of Stars is going to come back bigger and better than ever in 2018! Over the years it has become one Africa’s most respected festivals showcasing local talents and international acts, seminars & workshops, and it’s also one solid party!

35 ) Dekmantel
Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS
The Netherlands during the summer is festival heaven! There are literally 3-5 festivals almost every weekend to choose from, and I’ve always said that no one throws a party like the Dutch. I’ve personally attend at least 7 different festivals in The Netherlands – but I’ve always heard that Dekmantel is one of the best ones out there!

While it started primarily as a rock festival, it has expended and you’ll find tons of genres represented at OppiKoppi.

Ultra Music Festival has basically conquered the international electronic dance music festival scene, and they’ve put on massive events in dozens of countries around the world. For that reason – it’d be near impossible without including them on this list, and the ULTRA Korea edition is meant to be incredible! Just watch the aftermovie below if you need more convincing!

Barcelona, SPAIN
Barcelona is hands down my favorite city in the world – and planning a visit during SONAR Festival is one of the best travel decisions you can make. The entire city comes alive – and there are countless events all over town! Free events, workshops, and parties to keep you busy all day! The official festival at night is also an insane experience, and Spanish people are tons of fun to party with!

Despite being a relatively new festival, UNTOLD has quickly risen to become one of the largest and craziest electronic music events in all of Europe! Watch the after-movie, and you’ll know what I mean! The Mainstage arena is out of of this world, and is certainly a bucket-list worthy festival experience.

48 ) Wonderfruit
Siam Country Club, Pattaya, THAILAND
Live. Love. Wonder.
That’s the motto of this amazing 3-day camping music festival in Thailand. The venue is absolutely stunning, the camping is nice, the line-up is always incredible, and the vibes are just so much fun! It’s one of my favorite festivals in Southeast Asia, and a must-experience for long-term travelers and backpackers in the region!

50 ) EPIZODE
Phu Quoc Island, VIETNAM
I was fortunate enough to attend the second edition of EPIZODE, and it was one of the most wild and crazy beginnings to the year! It kicks off during NYE, and then lasts for 10+ days into January. The techno line-up is nothing short of heavenly, the location could not be any better, and the party vibes are seriously on point. Last, but certainly not least…how could I write an article about the best music festivals in the world without mentioning GROOVE CRUISE!?
I’ve had the pleasure of attending and photographing this festival on three separate occasions – and it’s truly one of the wildest, craziest, and most fun experiences I’ve ever had!
